The Mini Ninjas class is designed to encourage and engage toddlers and children (Under 5) in basic exercise and movement as a starting point for their free running, Parkour and Tricking journey.
We use specialist soft play and gymnastics equipment to enable them to practice new skills whilst in a safe and controlled environment. The main aim is to promote play whilst also being creative with their movement and use of their whole bodies, conquering the obstacles or challenges in front of them. Running, jumping, climbing, balance and coordination are all key elements of development we work on and take any child from walking right up to their first under 10 Parkour class on the wooden Parkour Park.
Many toddlers and young children who take part in this class initially lack confidence but this soon grows with the positive reinforcement given by our dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Every child develops at a different rate and we respect parent’s decisions in wanting to help their child around the obstacles or to leave the child with the instructor exploring the environment.
Each week the equipment is reorganised with new challenges whilst still following the same class structure. The class runs for a 45 minute period with a full warm up, main activity and a cool down with stretching to promote healthy muscle growth. Attending a regular class provides your child with the opportunity to communicate with other people their own age, work within a team, and engage with adults. We also believes that the class gives children an opportunity to learn about social skills like listening, following directions, taking turns, being quiet, and respecting others. Children also have fun, meet new friends, and learn independence. As the child progresses and grows older they can transition into under 10 Parkour or beginner Tricks and Flips.
